About the Client:

Our client is a CQC-registered domiciliary care provider serving rural Shropshire communities, including Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Oswestry, and Church Stretton. They operate on the core principle that carers are visitors; once essential care tasks are complete, time is dedicated to companionship and conversation. Their goal is to ensure every individual feels valued and supported, rather than just a "checklist" to be finished.

About the Role:

This position exists to provide high-quality personal care and emotional support to individuals within rural communities. You will play a vital role in maintaining the independence and well-being of clients while fostering genuine human connection within their own homes.

What You’ll Do

·       Personal Care & Support: Provide hands-on care, emotional support, and medication assistance.

·       Nutritional Management: Prepare and cook nutritious meals based on client needs.

·       Safety & Mobility: Ensure safe moving and handling and follow all health and safety protocols.

·       Companionship: Engage with clients through meaningful conversation once care tasks are done.

·       Rural Operations: Travel between client locations across rural country roads.

·       Clinical Tasks: Assist with specialized requirements, such as catheter care, as needed.

·       Documentation: Maintain accurate care records and report changes in well-being to management.

What We’re Looking For:

·       Driving License: Must possess a clean license and have access to a vehicle.

·       Physical Fitness: Capable of performing "Moving and Handling" tasks safely.

·       Communication: Good English language skills and strong listening abilities.

·       Personal Attributes: Compassionate, honest, a team player, and comfortable around animals.

·       Training: A Care Certificate is preferred, but all necessary training is provided.

Benefits:

·       Mileage Allowance: Paid on top of your hourly rate to cover travel between calls.

·       Access to our client’s Health Package: Includes a health package and various discounts.

·       Professional Development: All necessary training is provided, including specialized certificates.

·       Paid Travel Time: Mileage is a core part of the package to ensure you aren't out of pocket.

Reporting Line:

You will be reporting to our client’s Service Manager/Manager.
