Support Recruitment Agency Limited is currently recruiting experienced Registered Nurses to work within care homes and nursing services.

We are looking for compassionate, professional and reliable nurses who are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care and promoting the dignity, independence and wellbeing of residents.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing residents' needs, delivering nursing care, administering medication where required, maintaining accurate records and responding appropriately to changes in residents' health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, effective and person-centred nursing care.
  • Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate residents' nursing needs.
  • Monitor residents' physical and mental wellbeing.
  • Recognise and respond appropriately to changes in residents' health.
  • Administer medication safely and accurately, where required.
  • Complete medication administration records and clinical documentation.
  • Develop and review care plans and risk assessments.
  • Provide wound care and other clinical interventions within your competence.
  • Support residents with complex and long-term health conditions.
  • Provide palliative and end-of-life care where required.
  • Promote dignity, independence, privacy and choice.
  • Safeguard residents and report concerns appropriately.
  • Provide guidance and clinical support to care staff.
  • Complete accurate handovers and maintain clear communication.
  • Liaise with GPs, district nurses, hospitals, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Follow infection prevention, health & safety and organisational procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • Current and valid NMC registration.
  • Appropriate nursing qualification.
  • Previous nursing experience.
  • Experience working with adults in a health or social care setting.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Satisfactory DBS check.
  • Satisfactory employment references.
  • Willingness to complete mandatory and client-specific training.

Desirable Experience

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

  • Care home / nursing home nursing.
  • Elderly care.
  • Dementia care.
  • Complex care.
  • Palliative and end-of-life care.
  • Wound care.
  • Medication management.
  • Long-term condition management.
  • Mental health or learning disabilities.
