Key Responsibilities:

·       Personal care -Assisting with showering, bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, and continence management

  • Health Monitoring & Medication- Monitoring health conditions, including taking temperature, pulse, and weight, administering or prompting medication, and reporting changes in condition to senior staff
  • Daily Living Support- Preparing meals, assisting with eating/drinking, laundry, and light cleaning. Stimulate and encourage through a variety of activities(for example clothing selection, hobbies and crafts)
  • Mobility & Assistance- Helping with mobility, transfers (using equipment like hoists), and accompanying clients to other areas of the home. Arranging appointments. Assist with walking (lending an arm to steady)
  • Compassion & Support- Providing emotional support, reducing loneliness, and encouraging participation in hobbies, social activities, and community engagement
  • Documentation- Keeping accurate, up-to-date records and care plans. Adhering to health & safety policies, Document daily activities and report any significant changes in a client’s needs or living conditions
  • Relationship- Maintain a good relationship with residence, Maintain regular communication with line manager, office staff and colleagues

 

 

 

Requirements:

·       Minimum two years of experience to be qualified for this position

·       Level 2 or 3 certificate in Health & Social care

·       Previous experience working in home care, hospice, or hospital

·       Care Certificate 

·       Leave to remain in UK

·       Enhanced DBS

·       Knowledge of health and safety best practices

·       First aid Training 

·       Patient moving and handling Training

·       End-of-life care Training 

·       Experience working with individuals with 

-       Disabilities

-       Mental health

-       Dementia 

-       Alzheimer’s

-       End of life care

·       Medication administering Training 

You will also be required to complete additional mandatory training such as:

  • Safeguarding Adults
  • Food Hygiene & Food Safety
  • Infection Prevention & Control
  • Fire Safety
  • Human Rights Awareness
